Chiho Environmental Group Limited was Awarded “ESG Prize”

October 29, 2020－Hong Kong For its excellent performance in supporting a sustainable future through
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives the Chiho Environmental Group has been awarded
with the InnoESG Prize 2020. The prize sponsored by the SocietyNext Foundation rewards innovators and
visionaries whose achievements have furthered the global proliferation of innovative, impactful,
human-centred, and inspirational sustainability solutions.
On 29 October 2020. Mr. Goh Kian Guan, Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of CEG, accepted the
award for the Chiho Environmental Group Limited (“CEG” or the “Group”, stock code: 976.HK) that is also
sponsored by the UNESCO Hong Kong Association Global Peace Centre, the Lions Club HKIFC and Rotary
Action Group for Peace.
To win the ESG Prize 2020 reflects that the public recognition of CEG’s contribution to sustainable
development through ESG initiatives. That is encouraging and spurs the company to notch up greater
achievements. As a global leader in the metal recycling and environmental protection, CEG keeps up with
global trends and is proactively committed to sustainable development.
CEG is supporting the Dual Circularity Initiative by building an environmentally-friendly world and securing
recycled resources with urban mining concepts. CEG aims to reduce the impact on the environment and
reliance on natural resources. In the future, CEG will continue to build upon its existing business, to improve
and enhance corporate governance, establish sustainable business models and to carefully handle the
increasing amount of industrial and municipal waste in a sustainable way.
